About Me
I’m Barbara, a Dutch Photographer.
When I was ten and took my first photo, I was hooked. With my saved pocket money, I bought my first camera, that had the same size as my head. All day I took photos of everything that fascinated me, and I still do.
After studying Psychology and AI and working for a few years, I went traveling, with my backpack and camera. With that same enthusiasm, I photographed everything around me. This is why I decided to share my photographs and start building a portfolio.
I tend to overthink most things in life, except when I take photo’s. It’s entirely intuitive.
My style is detailed, playful, and human. People, and the things that make us human, attract my attention the most: facial expressions, imperfections, character and authenticity.
To me, a photograph is beautiful when it has soul or tells a story.
